1. Acceptance of Terms
By creating an account or using Velso, you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, do not use the platform. We may update these terms from time to time, and continued use constitutes acceptance of any changes.
2. Account Responsibilities
You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account credentials. You must provide accurate information during registration. You must be at least 13 years old to use Velso. One person or entity may not maintain more than one free account.
3. Acceptable Use
You may not use Velso to distribute malware, spam, or illegal content. You may not attempt to gain unauthorized access to other accounts or systems. You may not scrape, crawl, or use automated tools to access the platform beyond normal API usage. Portfolio content must not violate copyright or contain harmful material.
4. Content Ownership
You retain ownership of all content you create on Velso, including portfolios, projects, courses, and code. By publishing content, you grant Velso a license to display and distribute it as part of the platform's functionality. You may delete your content at any time.
5. Subscriptions and Payments
Paid subscriptions are billed monthly or annually through Stripe. You may cancel at any time; access continues until the end of the billing period. Refunds are handled on a case-by-case basis. Token purchases are non-refundable once used.
6. Freelance Marketplace (Connect)
Velso Connect facilitates connections between clients and freelancers. Velso is not a party to freelance agreements and is not liable for the quality of work delivered. Platform fees are deducted from freelancer payouts as disclosed during checkout. Disputes are mediated through our support system.
7. Certifications
Velso certifications validate skill proficiency through AI-graded assessments. Certifications are issued in good faith but do not constitute professional licenses. Cheating or circumventing assessment integrity measures will result in certification revocation and possible account suspension.
8. Termination
We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms. You may delete your account at any time through your settings. Upon termination, your data will be deleted in accordance with our privacy policy.
9. Limitation of Liability
Velso is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. We are not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the platform. Our total liability is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim.
